Semester Reflection
Over the course of the semester I feel that I have learned a lot and was able to challenge myself to step outside my comfort zone, which helped me improve as a performer. For example, I have learned things like setting a scene and the importance of stage tech (costumes, sound, light, makeup, etc.). I never fully understood how much those things could change and affect once scene. I really enjoy taking a scene and changing the focus of it to represent something else using those elements. I also found that I really enjoy directing as well and being able to bring out a certain message within a scene. I think I grew as a performer from the first day of class. On the first day of class, I was a lot more shy and unsure of presenting my ideas in front of the class. I started to realize that I enjoy being able to perform in front of the class, regardless of how nervous it made me.
