Silent Movie Plot Organization

Plot Organization:

• Start off with Jeff in a big red chair (with pipe) add introductions with text

“The year is 1910, and great detective Jeff Miller was cracking the hardest of cases and

Was just about to solve another one.”

• Cut to Lily and Mao at an upscale party (hats, gloves, pearls, etc.)
• (Add cuts to show more people at the party?)
• Hannah comes into the scene with wine glasses and sets them down on the table
• Lily drinks the poison, and struggles
• Lily dies and Mao will scream
• Hannah looks around and runs away
• Scene break
• Jeff will come in to investigate the crime scene
• Jeff questions Mao, who was sitting with Lily when she died
• Jeff questions Mao and seeing that she is distressed, offers water
• Mao leaves
• Hannah, thinking that the investigations are over, comes into the room
• Jeff goes over to question Hannah, and she is clearly trying to leave and is panicking
• Jeff thinks Hannah is being overly suspicious, so he tries to get her to go to the police station with him
• They see Mao dead when they step out of the building
• Hannah tried to scream and accuses Jeff of being the murder
• Jeff quickly stabs her to keep her quiet
• Cut to Jeff back in his chair from the beginning scene
• Jeff is thinking about how he killed his three victims
• Cuts back to Jeff putting poison in Lily’s wine glass (add text on motive)
• Jeff put poison in Mao’s water
• Jeff looks satisfied and the camera zooms in on him
